Publications/Presentations:
Christopher D. Sturm, MD, FACS and Virginia L. Snyder, PhD, PA-C recently published a chapter in the textbook Spinal Instrumentation: Surgical Techniques (Kim, Vaccara, Fessler, editors; Chapter 137). The chapter is entitled ‘Coda PLIF Spacer/Cadence PLIF Spacer’ and gives a detailed description of these two devices, which represent two new implant systems used in posterior spinal fusions. The publication is written for spine surgeons to yield a better understanding of biomechanics and technology improvement, while applying these concepts to disease processes of the spine. It provides valuable tips on insertion techniques related to the specific implants and complication avoidance to maximize surgical success. Thieme Publishers, 2005. |
